AC/DC did the theme tune for Ironman – you knew that, right?
Here’s a promo video shot at Rochester Castle – I’ve never seen anything like it.

As part of her White Rose Craft Studio Di has been working on a Birthday Party idea based around crafts.
The idea is to provide a Birthday Party kit – all the stuff you need to have an activity based birthday party, delivered in a box – the 1st kit will be a T-shirt painting party.
Anyway, in sourcing T-shirts Di has made arrangements with a local supplier, who later called her up to ask if she could make up a fancy dress punk T-shirt.
To get into the spirit of things, I have been playing my punk playlist on itunes…here’s a highlight…

Singing in the Rain – the kids just didn’t stop singing versions of this classic.
For the 1st few hours it was sweet that they knew it… in the end I even tried to distract them by seeing my my kids would move on to ‘Inky Pinky Parlez Vous’…except the last 2 verses.
Are there any other ‘bawdy’ kids songs…?
I’m Adrian Garside and I’m a Pink Floyd Fan.
I first saw Pink Floyd in the late 1980′s, twice on the Delicate Sound of Thunder tour, then again in 1990 at Knebworth, there are video’s of this concert on Youtube, in fact, in you look up ‘Knebworth 1990′ on youtube, you will see that there were a great many artists that day, the unexpected highlight was Cliff Richard who came out in a bright pink suit so that the people further back could see him. Maybe it was the contrast with the artist before him – Phil Collins, who just sat on the stage and took his pretty boring music to new depths.
Anyway, I saw Pink Floyd twice more in the 1990′s and I’ve seen Roger Waters play, the Australian Pink Floyd Show (a pretty good tribute band) and I was at Live8 for the Pink Floyd reunion.
Last night the Arts Channel showed Pink Floyd in concert in HD – it wasn’t as HD as I’d hoped – in 1994 HD didn’t exist, nevertheless, while I wasn’t at this show, I have seen this set twice and it made the hairs on my arms stand up.
Pink Floyd are known for their stage shows – the band members themselves are pretty shy and don’t want to be the centre of attention. This is the last song of the set, Run Like Hell. it’s from The Wall album. If you are like me, from the video you won’t get the scale of the set, but according to wikipedia the stage is 55 meters wide and 40 meters high. That is, as wide as an Olympic sized swimming pool is long, and as high as a 16 story house. I’m a little bit unsure that it’s that big – maybe they have two sets, for indoors and outdoors…anyway, it is big!
Had this in my mind all weekend – listened to a Ministry of Sound CD from the 1980′s
Freak on a Leash – on MTV Unplugged – Korn featuring Amy Lee from Evanescence.
